LINDSBORG — The Tabor College men’s basketball team ended the regular season with a 78-71 loss to Bethany Saturday in Lindsborg.

Tabor falls to 17-10, 11-7 in KCAC play. Bethany improves to 13-15, 11-7 in KCAC play. Tabor finishes in a three-way tie for second in the conference, but will get the fourth seed in the post-season tournament, hosting Friends at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Bethany led 36-31 at the half.

Haydon Parks and Jack Sadowy each scored 15 points for the Swedes. Trey Beachum scored 14 points. Quenton Jennings scored 11.

Lawson Kingsley and Damon Dechant each scored 14 points for Tabor. Michael Janzen scored 11 and Ryan Chippeaux scored 10.

LINDSBORG — The Tabor College women’s basketball team ended the regular season with a 56-45 win over Bethany Saturday in Lindsborg.

Tabor trailed 27-25 at the half, but held the Swedes to 18 points in the second half.

Katlyn Mary scored 27 points for the Bluejays with nine rebounds. Tynan Honn added 12 points.

Tamara Garner led Bethany with 11 points. The Swedes end the regular season 6-22, 4-14 in KCAC play.

Tabor ends the regular season 11-17, 8-10 in KCAC play. The Bluejays take the seventh seed in the KCAC post-season tournament and will face Kansas Wesleyan at 7 p.m. Thursday in Salina.

WHITEWATER — The Remington Bronco girls edged rival Moundridge 37-32 Monday in Heart of America League play in rural Whitewater.

Remington led 20-18 at the half. Tied 27-27 after three quarters, the Broncos held Moundridge to five points in the fourth quarter.

Quin Tillotson led Remington with 16 points.

Taylor Schrag led Moundridge with 11 points.

Moundridge hosts Ellinwood today. Remington plays today at Flinthills.

ELBING — The Berean Academy girls’ basketball team downed Chase County 60-53 Saturday in non-league play in Elbing.

Berean led 27-23 at the half and 39-32 after three quarters. The Warriors hit 12 of 14 free throws in the fourth quarter to keep Chase County at bay.

Kayla Wilgers scored 25 points for Berean Academy, and Mallory Zuercher added 16 points.

Robin Brokett led Chase County with 19 points. Laney Watts added 13.

LOST SPRINGS — The Centre High School girls’ basketball team ended the regular season with a 39-34 win over Chase County Friday in rural Lost Springs.

Centre trailed 16-15 at the half but pulled ahead with a 13-6 run.

Allison Shields led Centre with 18 points. Anna Weber scored 10 points.

Robin Brokett led Chase County with 15 points.

Centre ends the regular season 10-10 and opens play next week in the Class 1A, Division I sub-state in Burrton.

WHITEWATER — Caleb Cherryholmes scored 21 points to lift the Remington Bronco boys to a 62-54 win over Moundridge Monday night in Heart of America League play in rural Whitewater.

Moundridge led 33-24 at the half. Remington closed to within four after three quarters and outscored Moundridge 22-10 in the fourth quarter, hitting 10 of 13 free throws in the final period.

Jake Green added 13 points for the Broncos. Tanner Claassen added 12 points.

Trey Unrau led Moundridge with 27 points.

Moundridge plays today at home against Ellinwood. Remington plays today at Flinthills.

MOUNDRIDGE — Trey Unrau scored 34 points to lead the Moundridge Wildcat boys to a 64-55 win over Peabody-Burns Friday in non-league play in Moundridge.

Peabody-Burns led 30-29 at the half. Moundridge responded with an 18-7 third quarter, holding off the Warriors in the fourth.

Daniel Ratzlaff added 13 points for Moundridge.

Matt Hiebert scored 17 points for Peabody-Burns. Austin Savage added 10.
