If your goal is to Build Wealth Not Debt, Kansas Saves is a program to help.It is designed to help you set goals, provide motivation and information for those goals.Who is a Kansas Saver?• Anyone who agrees to work toward a savings goal, such as home ownership, school tuition, retirement or even debt repayment. Kansas Savers set goals of as little as $10 and try to save that amount each month.Why should I save?• To provide funds for emergency expenditures.• To afford a home, education, investments, or other products or goals that will help improve your lifetime standard of living.• To gain peace of mind.What membership benefits are available to me at no cost?• Introductory Build Wealth Not Debt brochure.• An annual subscription to America Saver , published four times a year.• Encouragement to save and reduce debt now for a better future.So what does it cost me?No money. Your only obligation is to develop a specific savings goal, select an account, make a deposit in this account each month, or make a debt payment, and let us know you are working toward your savings goal.How do I become a Kansas Saver?• Complete the “I want to be a Kansas Saver” at www.americasaves.org/kansas/. In your community, the program is brought to you by the Kansas Cooperative Extension Service, a publicly funded, educational network linking local extension offices, state land-grant universities, Kansas State University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Cooperative State Research.
