David Deshazo officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Clay and Candy Hughes of Wellsville. The groom is the son of Phil and Carolyn Timken of North Newton.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was sister of the bride Holly Hughes of Wellsville. Bridesmaids were Lisa Ille, friend of the bride of Topeka; and Laura Timken, sister of the groom of Comfort, Texas. Bridesmatron was sister of the bride Kimberly Burbank of Wellsville.

Best man was Scott Timken, brother of the groom of Wichita. Groomsmen were brother of the groom Eric Timken of Wichita; Grant Yost, friend of the groom of Kansas City, Kan.; and Isaac Burbank, brother-in-law of the bride and groom of Wellsville.

Grandparents are Shirley Cooper, grandmother of the bride of Wellsville; Roger and Bea Hughes of Wellsville, grandparents of the bride; Harry and Gerry Lee, grandparents of the groom of Wichita; and John Timken, grandfather of the groom of Cimarron.

The couple took a wedding trip to St. Marten, and they have made their home in Lenexa.

The bride is a graduate of Wellsville High School and a May 2011 graduation candidate at Washburn University, where she is a student in physical therapy aide.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Berean Academy and a 2008 graduate of Washburn University. He attended Kansas State University. He is a registered nurse at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Mo.
