Raymond and Charlene Novak of Hesston will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. June 5 at Hesston United Methodist Church.

Raymond Novak and Charlene Kathrineberg were married on June 5, 1960, at Republic E.U.B. Church in Republic. Since that time, they have resided in Kansas City, Belleville and Hesston, where they have resided for the past 30 years.
Raymond retired in 2002 from the BNSF Railroad in Newton, and Charlene has held several jobs, retiring from the Water’s Edge Restaurant in 2001.
Hosting the event will be their children and their spouses: Debbie Yoder and her husband, Kent; Jeff Novak and his wife, Dawn; and Becky Strubhar and her husband, John.
The couple has 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
