Good Shepherd Hospice is offering two grief support meetings to support those who are experiencing a recent loss.
This seven-week DVD series offers comfort and gentle wisdom for grieving individuals.
“Grief is a journey. We move from seeing the person by sight to seeing them in memories. At first, they are too painful, and every memory breaks our hearts. Gradually they help us establish the significance of our loss. In time, our memories become our most precious possessions. The memories wrap themselves around our being, and our loved one is reborn inside of our hearts. That is called ... the Journey of Grief,” said Doug Manning, author/speaker of the grief journey series.
The meeting in Newton is from 3 to 4 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month at Asbury Park Retirement Community.
Meetings also are from 10 to 11 a.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at Catholic Care in Wichita.
Meetings are open to the public. For more information, call Good Shepherd Hospice at (316) 616-2277.
