Seven players for the Hesston College baseball team were named to the National Junior College Athletics Association Division II All-Region VI team for the 2010 season.


 Seven players for the Hesston College baseball team were named to the National Junior College Athletics Association Division II All-Region VI team for the 2010 season.
Two-time selections include Lee Voth-Gaeddert of Hesston and Jon Wilson of Hutchinson.
Voth-Gaeddert, a centerfielder, set or tied four season school records and six career records for the Larks, including season batting average (.466) and career batting average (.443).
Wilson, a third baseman, hit .286.
Three sophomores are first-time selections — outfielder Nick Wesman of Apple Creek, Ohio; pitcher Phil Hotchkiss of Des Moines, Iowa; and pitcher Aaron Grunewald of Wamego.
Wesman led the team in home runs with five and hit .402. He had just three errors on defense. Hotchkiss led the team in innings pitched at 56 and posted four wins. He had an earned-run-average of 5.43. Grunewald had five wins and an ERA of 5.96. Both Hotchkiss and Grunewald threw a no-hitter this season.
Two HC freshmen were honored — infielder Alex Summey of Bristol, Ind.; and infielder-designated hitter-pitcher Garrett Kurtz of Sarasota, Fla. Summey hit .357 with 34 runs scored and 25 RBIs. Kurtz batted .349 with 34 RBIs.
Hesston finished the season 22-16.
