Wichita residents Brittany Voth, formerly of Hesston, and Bret Bartel, formerly of El Dorado, were married during a 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009, ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Augusta.


Wichita residents Brittany Voth, formerly of Hesston, and Bret Bartel, formerly of El Dorado, were married during a 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009, ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Augusta.

John C. Murray, pastor of Hesston Mennonite Church, officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Jana Voth of Hesston. She is the granddaughter of Charley and Lillian Voth of Hesston, and Wilbur and Hazel Voth of Moundridge.

The groom is the son of Rick Bartel of Towanda and Vickey Bartel of El Dorado. The groom is the son of Opal Nuttle of El Dorado, and L.A. and Linda Knebler of Augusta.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was Alyssa Voth, cousin of the bride of Walton. Bridesmaids were Denise Schrock of Wichita, Megan Green of El Dorado, Lindsay Clements of Wichita and Amy Balzer of Newton, all friends of the bride.

Best man was Brandon Bartel, brother of the groom of Topeka. Groomsmen were Nick Schrock of Wichita, William Pyles of Wichita, Evan McDaniel of Wichita and David Miller of Andover, all friends of the groom.

Flower girls were Haylee and Jenna Waggoner, cousins of the groom of Ponca City, Okla.

Guest book attendant was Megan Voth, cousin of the bride of Walton.

Ushers were Brett Voth, cousin of the bride of Walton; Justin Waggoner, cousin of the groom of Ponca City, Oka.; Chris Manning, friend of the groom of Great Bend; and Jay Patterson, friend of the groom of Overland Park.

The couple took a seven-day Caribbean cruise, and they have made their home in Wichita.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Hesston High School and attended Bethel College, The University of Kansas and Wichita State University. She is a 2008 WSU graduate. She is a contract negotiator/account manager at Corporate Lodging Consultants in Wichita.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Bluestem High School and attended Bethel College. He is a manufacturing engineer at Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita.

Pianist was brother of the bride Jordan Voth of Hesston. Soloist was LouAnn Voth, aunt of the bride of Halstead.

A reception dinner and dance were immediately after the ceremony at the Red Rooster Reception Hall in rural El Dorado.
