• First Presbyterian Church will provide a nursery for all morning services. It will have Sunday school classes for all ages from 9 to 10:10 a.m. Sunday. Fellowship time will be from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. in the narthex. The 10:30 a.m. worship service will include Communion. The chancel choir will provide special music, and Pastor Jim Anderson will present the message. After the worship service, there will be a reception for new members received into the church in 2009.

• First Presbyterian Church middle school youth will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. High school youth will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.


• Boy Scout Troop No. 123 will meet at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.


• First Presbyterian middle and high school youth will meet at 7 a.m. Tuesday at Druber’s for doughnuts and devotions.


• The St. Mary Altar Society will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Midtown Towers, 115 W. Ninth St.. There will be bingo at 6:30 p.m. with Tower residents. Bring two or three bingo prizes and two dozen cookies.

• The Women’s Fellowship at United Church of Christ will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 210 E. Fourth St. Gloria Webber will give the program and devotions. Barbera Reimer is the hostess.

• First Presbyterian Church Bible at Breakfast will meet at 8 a.m. at C.J.’s Pancake House for Bible study and breakfast. All those interested are invited.

• First Presbyterian Church will have a prayer vigil at 8 p.m. in preparation for Spiritual Renewal Sunday.

• First Presbyterian Church’s bell choir will rehearse at 7 p.m. at the church. The chancel choir will rehearse at 7 p.m. in the choir loft.

• The Christian Women’s Fellowship of First Christian Church will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The program will be “Bosnian and Croatian Refugees and Displaced Persons” by Laura Dargitz. The service project will be “Woman to Woman: Build-A-Village.” Lydia group will be hostess.

• The United Methodist Women from First United Methodist Church will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, Seventh and Main streets. Bev Grimm will speak about prison ministries. The hostess will be Rachel Circle.


• Walton United Methodist Women will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Walton United Methodist Church in Walton. There will be a call to prayer and self-denial by Pat Tieszen. Hostesses will be Shirley Warner and Hilda Higgins.

• First Presbyterian Church women’s coordinating team will meet at 9:15 a.m. at the church.

• First Presbyterian Church’s S.C.O.T.S. (Serving Christ for Others Through Stitches) will meet at noon for lunch at LaCabana and return to the church to work on sewing projects from 1 to 3 p.m.

• First Presbyterian Church prayer vigil will be from 3 to 8 p.m. at the church.
