• First Presbyterian Church will have Sunday school classes for adults only from 9:15 to 10:10 a.m. Sunday in the parlor, chapel and Fellowship Hall. A nursery is available. Fellowship time will be from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. in the narthex. Sunday worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Jim Anderson will deliver the message. Special music will be by trio Kathy Randall, Peg Ziser and Sue Ice, accompanied by Helen Wild.

• First Presbyterian Church high school youth will meet at 5:30 p.m. Sunday for dinner at the Gihring home, 741 Normandy Road, for dinner and a movie, “The Mosquito Coast,” a tropical adventure of dreams and responsibility.

• The Newton Church of the Brethren will not have services on Sunday. Services will be at the McPherson Church of the Brethren for a district conference.

• Early risers gather at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church to join in prayer before the regular worship service. Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. Classes are offered for all ages. Worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. Special music guests will be Dean Hopkins and Debbie Norman. The Normans are known for their participation in “Gospel at the Barn” in the Benton/Furley area. Pastor Terry Tareila will deliver the message. A nursery will be provided for infants and toddlers.

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Payee Program will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Wednesday

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will have family game night from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

• First Presbyterian Church youth group trip to Worlds of Fun in Kansas City will be Wednesday.

Thursday

• Walton United Methodist Women will meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at The Breadbasket for lunch and a social hour.
