Swensson Park in Lindsborg will be the site of the Smoky Valley Classic Car Show on Saturday.

This show’s popularity stems from the shade-filled location and small town hospitality, according to a news release. Growing larger each year, the Car Show gives out 100 awards to participants.

The awards range from Top awards in five categories, BEST awards and choice awards. Some of the popular awards include the Police Chief’s Choice and Sheriff’s Choice for the cars most likely to be stopped by those agencies, and the Kansas Highway Patrol award for the car most likely to be stopped for no reason at all.

Lunch and 1950s music will be available at the park.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the park. Awards will be given out from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

For registration and lodging information, call (888) 227-2227 or register online at www.lindsborg.org. Preregistration ends Thursday. Dash plaques will be given to the first 150 entries.
