• Tuesday and June 16: Oil Painting Club meets from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Creative Arts Studio. Call (620) 327-2332 for more information.

• Wednesday and June 10, 17, 24: Wii Wednesdays. Stop by the Garden Room on Wednesdays during June and learn more about the Nintendo Wii. Games include bowling, billiards, golf and tennis — just to name a few. Stop by at your leisure between 1 and 2:30 p.m. Cost is free for members, $1 per day for non-members.

• June 9: Free Peripheral Artery Disease Screening Clinic. Dr. Amirani from Newton Cardiac Services in Newton will conduct free screenings for PAD from 1 to 3 p.m. June 9 at the Hesston Wellness Center. Call to schedule an appointment at (620) 327-2323.

• June 9 through July 7: Kindermusik presents God’s Children Sing Family Camp. Learned in a joyful manner, these five one-hour classes are centered around stories from the Bible using music and movement, accompanied by songs, prayers and rituals, while learning basic musical concepts. These lessons will enhance moral concepts in daily life and provide a springboard for family music time at home. Cost: materials $35 (one set per family includes a CD, activity book, picture cards and craft supplies). Tuition is $50 (first child), $40 second, $30 third, etc. Class is designed for parents and children ages birth to 7 years old. • June 20: Oil Painting Workshop. This class is for beginning and experience painters from ages 10 to 100. Cost for June’s workshop is just $15 to participate and includes all materials. Class meets from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Creative Arts Studio. Preregister at the front desk at least one week in advance.

• June 21: Father’s Day discount. Fathers and grandfathers, get in free when you bring your children to swim with you. Family swim is from 1 to 4:45 p.m.

• June 24: Safe Disposal Presentation. Home disposal of excess or expired medications, by flushing them down the toilet, has been the standard for many years. National and state studies are finding this common disposal practice can negatively impact aquatic life. Learn about environmentally safe ways to dispose of pharmaceutical waste from Kansas State University intern, Wayne Larson, at 1 p.m. in the Garden Room. Sign up at the front desk. This lecture is free and open to the public.
