The Harvey County Homeless Shelter in partnership with Koerner Heights Church is sponsoring a seminar provided by David Case and Live Free Ministries.

The seminar will be from 8 a.m. to noon June 13 at Koerner Heights Church, 320 N. Meridian St. in Newton.

It will cover:

• Why we do things we don’t want to do.

• Seeing and understanding the code that controls us.

• The role of thought life in overcoming addiction.

• When wrong feels right and how to change it.

• Getting beyond the cookie-cutter solutions: Seeing people and offering the Biblical steps to transformation.

Case has been a school teacher and a pastor for most of his life and began Live Free Ministries, based in McPherson, to help hurting people and those helping hurting people.

He has written four books outlining his model of putting the heart back at the center of man, rather than the thought life that so many counselors and support groups have focused on for 100 years, a news release said.

Case has been an important resource to the Homeless shelter in its work to restore lives, a news release said.
