Kansas health officials say Reno County has its first confirmed case of swine flu.

The Department of Health and Environment confirmed that case Wednesday, after reporting four other new cases in children in other counties. The Reno County case involves an adult.

No cases yet have been reported in Harvey or Marion counties.

The new cases bring the state’s total to 79. Of those, 46 involve child victims and 33 involve adult victims.

Two of the new cases involving children were in Saline County, and Geary and Sedgwick counties reported one case each.

Riley and Geary counties continue to lead the state in total cases, with 23 and 18, respectively.

Wyandotte County has 12 confirmed cases and Johnson, 11. Saline has seven; Dickinson and Sedgwick counties have two each. Ford, Gove, Ottawa and Reno counties have a single case each.
