Florence A. Boese, 95, mother of Irma Voran of North Newton, died Monday (May 25, 2009) at Seasons of Life Longterm Care Center in Syracuse.



Florence A. Boese, 95, mother of Irma Voran of North Newton, died Monday (May 25, 2009) at Seasons of Life Longterm Care Center in Syracuse.
She was born on July 22, 1913, in Pretty Prairie, the daughter of John A. and Carrie Flickner Graber.  
A longtime resident of Syracuse, previously of Kingman, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Kingman Mennonite Church.
On Aug. 22, 1932, she married Gus K. Boese near Pretty Prairie. He died on Nov. 4, 1958.  
Survivors include son, Ken and wife, Connie; daughters and their husbands, Neva and Dick Maerz, Janet and Raymond Henry, Jean McKnight, Irene and Cleland McBurney, Betty Boese, and Irma and Max Voran; brothers and their wives, John and Anna Graber, and Marvin and Laura Graber; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.  
She also was preceded in death by a son, Gus Jr.; sisters, Helen Bell, Selma Ross and Alice Jury; grandchildren, Pam Henry and Warren Dodge; and son-in-law, Dick McKnight.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman, with the Rev. John Barkett presiding.  
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
