Marjorie J. Kasitz, 82, died Friday (Jan. 30, 2009) at her rural Sedgwick home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Newton to Roy William Dreier and Lillian Hulda (Schmidt) Dreier Tangeman. She married Allwin J. Kasitz at Highland United Church of Christ in rural Newton on Aug. 17, 1947. She was a lifelong member of the church.

Marjorie enjoyed square dancing and was a founding member of the Hesston Shoe Scuffers square dance club along with her husband. Family was very important to Marjorie, and she looked forward to visits from her loving family and friends.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Nancy and husband Wayne Hubbard of St. George, Deb and husband C.G. McGinn of Sedgwick and Betty and husband Ed Smith of Halstead; a brother, Rolland Dreier of Hesston; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and eight step- grandchildren.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Trinity United Church of Christ with burial at Highland Cemetery in rural Newton. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday.
