The Omaha, Neb., Marian Crusaders took it to NIT newcomer Beloit 60-41 in a first-round game.
Marian broke the game open with a 21-11 second quarter and put it away with a 20-11 third quarter.
Vickie McIntyre, 6-foot-6, led Marian with 18 points. Clare Tokheim added 13. Marian improves to 12-3.
Taylor Miller scored eight points for Beloit, 8-3.
Marian plays in the semifinals at 8:15 p.m. today. Beloit plays in the consolation semifinals at 4:45 p.m.
