ELBING — The Douglass Bulldogs made a 28-18 fourth-quarter run to down Burrton 60-55 in the semifinals of the Eli J. Walter Invitational Thursday in Elbing.
Douglass led 26-20 at the half. Burrton took a 37-32 lead after three quarters.
Brittney Bratcher scored 14 points for Douglass. Cara Barnes and Lauren Green added 10 points each.
Mackenzie Allen scored 18 points for Burrton. Valerie Wallsten added 17 points.

ELBING — Janelle Rust scored 16 points to lead the Berean Academy Warriors to a 40-33 win over Goessel in the semifinals of the Eli J. Walter Invitational in Elbing.
The Warriors led 23-19 at the half.
Kendra Flaming scored 13 points for Goessel.
Berean plays Douglass at 7 p.m. in the championship game. Goessel plays Burrton at 5:15 p.m. Saturday for third place.
CONSOLATION GAMES — Leon-Bluestem downed Peabody-Burns 39-28 and Hutchinson Trinity downed Hutchinson Central Christian 45-39. No scoring information was available at press time. Bluestem plays Trinity at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for third place. Central Christian plays Peabody-Burns at 2 p.m. Saturday for seventh place.

The Andover Central Jaguars opened play in the Newton Invitational Tournament with a 44-41 win over Salina Central Thursday afternoon at Ravenscroft Gym.
Central led 16-11 at the half and held South off in the second half.
Tiffany Bias led Central, 9-2, with 15 points, followed by Maddie Chapin with 12.
Brittany Gardner led South, 8-2, with 12 points. Adianna Franch added 11 points.
Andover Central meets Rose Hill at 6:30 p.m. today in the semifinals. Salina South faces Garden City at 3 p.m. in consolation semifinal play.

The Rose Hill Rockets used an 11-6 third quarter run to break open a six-point game at halftime and post a 57-47 win over Garden City Thursday in first-round NIT action.
Rose Hill jumped out 17-11 after the first quarter and led 29-23 at the half.
Kristy Herman scored 19 points for Rose Hill, 10-1. Kelli Herbel added 11 points.
Marisela Rodriguez scored 22 points for Garden City, 5-5.
