HAVEN — The Halstead-Sedgwick wrestling team competed Saturday at the Haven junior varsity tournament.

Terrin Bradfield finished 2-1 at 103 pounds for second.

At 112 pounds, Summer Werner finished 1-3 at 112 to place fourth. Holden Straight finished second at 2-2.

At 125 pounds, Matt McGee finished 1-2 to place fourth. Alex Zerbe finished 1-2.

At 135 pounds, Dylan Todd placed 2-1 to take fourth. At 189, Tucker Kaufman finished 0-3. At 215 pounds, Jared Bean finished 0-3 at the HOAL meet.

“We placed almost everyone,” coach Jack Thaw said. “We are steadily improving. Our 152 pounder, Tyler Henning, had an outstanding tournament, winning all three of his matches. All of the kids are young and are working hard to improve their technical skills. The future looks bright.”
