Tonight Simon Ho will turn off the lights in the kitchen and lock the door at China Garden, just like he has every night for more than 20 years.

But tonight will be the last time. Simon and his wife Rosa Ho are retiring, shuttering the doors of a restaurant that has done business on Main Street since 1984.

“It’s bittersweet,” said their 27-year old daughter Andie. “I’m glad my parents can rest now, but I have 'lived' here longer than any house. This has been the constant.”
