Thursday will mark the 13th year for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. This dinner is for anyone who doesn’t have a place to go for Thanksgiving or for anyone who simply doesn’t want to cook. Come and join us from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at Salem United Methodist Church, First and Old Main streets in The Family Life Center in Newton.

We will serve turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, cranberries, sugar-free salad, rolls, pie, cake, coffee and tea. You get a great meal and an opportunity for fellowship with the volunteers and others who come to share the meal. If you need meals delivered, call 283-3620 after 10 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

We would like to thank all the volunteers and businesses for their help or for providing food for the dinner. Thanks to First Baptist Church, Salem United Methodist Church, First Missionary Church and Trinity Heights United Methodist Church for your support.
