The basic computer tutorial will include:

The Windows desktop.

Exploring the start menu.

Working with files and creating new folders.

Introduction to Basic Word Processing (Microsoft Word).

Using e-mail and navigating the Web.

In addition to this class, a PowerPoint class will be from 7 to 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 21 through Feb. 25, meeting weekly at the Hesston Area Senior Center.

Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation graphics program used to create professional-quality slide presentations.

The introductory class will include:

Starting and navigating in PowerPoint.

Keying text on a slide.

Working with views, tabs and task panes.

Running a presentation as a slide show.

Naming and saving a presentation.

Printing slides and handouts.

The classes are open to all Hesston-area residents. Enrollment is each class is limited to 15 students, and registration will begin Jan.. 2. To register, drop by the center or contact the center receptionist at (620) 327-5099.
