There are more motor vehicle verses deer accidents during November and December than any other time during the year because of mating season.

Jennifer Brackeen has not had good luck with deer or vehicles in the last year.

In eight months, she has hit three deer, totaling two vehicles.

The last accident was several days ago. She was still driving a rental car the day she spoke to the Kansan.

“You just can’t predict when it is going to happen,” she said. “I try to slow down, but one of the accidents happened at night. They spring up and surprise you. I have been especially nervous since I just hit one several days ago.”

Unfortunately, Brackeen is not alone at this time in her deer-related woes.
