William Eash, Bethel College professor of music, welcomes everyone to the fall concert of the Bethel College Men’s Ensemble and Women’s Chorus, which he directs.“The groups will be presenting a joint concert of sacred and secular music,” he said. “In addition, a women’s ensemble called Seventh Day will also perform.”The concert will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Administration Building chapel on the Bethel College campus and is free and open to the public.The Women’s Ensemble selections include “Esto les digo” by Kinley Lange; “Nigra sum” by Pablo Casals; “Fire, fire my heart” by Thomas Morley; “I know where I am going,” arranged by Christopher Lewis; “Oh, had I Jubal’s lyre” by Handel (arr. Robert Gibb); and “Can’t help lovin’ dat man” by Jerome Kern (arr. John Leavitt).The small women’s ensemble Seventh Day will perform “The Storm is Passing Over” by Tindley (arr. Barbara Baker); “E’en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come” by Paul Manz; and “I’m Goin’ Up-a Yonder” by Walter Hawkins. Members are freshmen Katie Flaming, Goessel, Lindsay Geisler, Leonardville, Naomi Graber, Elkhart, Ind., Taylor McCabe-Juhnke, North Newton, Kelsey Ortman, Marion, S.D., Sarah Pohl, Moundridge, and Amy Powell, Basehor.Men’s Ensemble selections include the Gregorian chant “Ad te levavi,”; “God So Loved the World” by John Stainer; “Angels Rolled de Stone Away” arranged by Jester Hairston, with soloists Brian Skinner and Clinton Harris; “MLK” arranged by Bob Chilcott, with soloists Greg Buller and Camden Pankratz; “In My Room” by Brian Wilson (arr.
