If you pop into the annual bazaar Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Newton, you might happen upon a rather unusual collection.

Neva Leedale of Newton will display her late mother’s button collection, featuring about 60 boxes of buttons, each with a myriad of buttons arranged on cards.

The buttons were the topic of a Mother’s Day presentation at the church. Leedale’s friend, Connie Andrews, spoke about the buttons, and out of that came an invitation to showcase the buttons at the bazaar, which will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 801 N. Main.
