The Bethel and Tabor college cross country teams competed Saturday at the Southwestern National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Mid-States Regional in Winfield.

The meet drew 25 teams.

Wayland Baptist won the womenís title over Doane 39-101. Tabor was 12th and Bethel was 13th.

Colorado College won the menís title over Oklahoma Christian 93-114. Tabor was 16th and Bethel was 18th.

Bethelís Annette Gingerich was the top area finisher, taking 21st in 19:14.71. Natasha Esau was 76th in 20:49.41. Jackie Kemphaus was 110th in 21:39.56. Laura Stevens was 116th in 21:56.50. Rachael Gaeddert was 161st in 24:23.76.

For the Bethel men, Ben Moore was 92nd in 28:22.93. Kevin Leary was 138th in 29:38.15. Zach Metzler was 142nd in 30:01.66. Michael Bowman was 149th in 30:09.47. Aaron Voth was 164th in 30:54.20. D.J. Bookout was 176th in 31:40.50.

For Tabor, Christina Addison was 49th in 19:57.79. Liz Kleinsasser was 78th in 20:51.74. Jersa Terselle was 95th in 21:15.74. Kelli Kopper was 107th in 21:34.88. Carrie Schroeder was 122nd in 22:16.08. Leah Kopper was 123rd in 22:18.02. Tessa Siebert was 140th in 23:08.24.

For the Tabor men, Zac Rembolt was 76th in 27:34.36. Zach Gould was 87th in 28:11.37. Dan Sigley was 91st in 28:22.08. Ric Johnson was 116th in 28:52.66. Justin Ball was 159th in 30:43.55.

Both teams compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference championships Nov. 8 in Lindsborg.
