Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel, 918 Seventh St. in Clay Center.


Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Ron Walker officiating.


Robert “Bob” Henry Holsted, 77, passed away Monday (Sept. 29, 2008) at Mercy Health Center in Manhattan.

He was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Morganville to Henry James and Nellie Mae (Lashley) Holsted.

He was raised in Morganville. He worked for W.W. Smith & Sons. He worked for Skinner Motor Co. from 1951 until present. He served in the National Guard for 12 years.

He is survived by a son, Steven Holsted of Clay Center; daughters, Shana Holsted of Manhattan and Cheryl Easterberg of Newton; a brother, Meryl Holsted of Liberal; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel, 918 Seventh St. in Clay Center.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Ron Walker officiating.
