Pastor Robert Alley and Pastor Bruce Bradshaw officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Ada Longenecker of Harrisonburg, Va.

The groom is the son of Ralph and Jeanne Schmidt of Whitewater.

Attendants for the bride were Teresa Geary of Oakland, Calif., Katie ODonnell of Royersford, Pa., and Lew Longenecker of Appomattox, Va.

Attendants for the groom were Matt Schmidt of Wichita, Renae Schmidt Peters of Hesston and Jill Schmidt of Newton.

The groom is the grandson of Dorothy M. Schmidt of North Newton, and Don and Kathryn Penner of North Newton.

The bride is the granddaughter of Jean Longenecker of Lancaster, Pa., and Imogene Rothermel of Elkhart, Ind.

The couple took a wedding trip to Shelburne, Vt., and they have made their home in Clemson, S.C.

The bride is a graduate of Juniata College and Clemson University. She is an adjunct history instructor at Tri-County Community College.

The groom is a graduate of Hesston College and Bethel College. He is a graduate student/research assistant at Clemson University.

Musicians were Jason Peters, brother-in-law of the groom of Hesston; and Jean Longenecker, grandmother of the bride of Lancaster, Pa.
