The National Honor Roll recognizes high school and middle school students.

The National Honor Roll contacts potentially qualifying students after reviewing information about their academic performance.

Each student is asked to submit information about their grade-point average, interests, activities and future goals. Only students with a B or better average are eligible to be inducted into the National Honor Roll. Nationally 69 percent of inductees averaged A- or better, 31 percent averaged B through B+. In addition, 93 percent have been recipients of other academic and community honors, 60 percent participate in sports, 23 percent are employed, 26 percent participate in school government, 15 percent work on school publications and 60 percent volunteer in their communities.

Inductees are able to compete for college scholarships and for National Honor Roll Awards for Academic Achievement.
