The Kauffman Museum board of directors, volunteers and staff would like to thank the Newton community for supporting the museumís Shed Sale last Saturday. Community support is critical to the success of a fund-raiser and we deeply appreciate all the buyers who came out.

We also thank all the friends of Kauffman Museum who helped bring farm implements out of storage, donated and appraised antiques, contributed home-baked goods, served as cashiers, and cleaned up after the event.

Extra kudos go to Ray Classen, North Newton chief of police, who as the volunteer auctioneer single-handedly raised over $1,000.

A special thank you to The Newton Kansan for helping us create a great display ad and for publishing the article that helped us communicate the goal of the sale to the public.
