The Reno County Historical Society will host a new Murder in the Mine production, “No Schick, Sherlock,” June 7 at the Kansas Underground Salt Museum at Airport Road and Avenue G, under Hutchinson.

The fund-raising event provides ticketholders a chance to go 650 feet below ground for an entertaining evening of dinner, theater and a tour of the mine.

“Providing great dinner theater comedy in our underground setting makes this an ideal fund-raiser for the Underground Salt Museum,” said Linda Schmitt, executive director. “We are delighted we can offer this unique entertainment to residents across central Kansas.”

Murder in the Mine is an interactive murder mystery comedy that allows the audience to help determine the “whodunnit.” The show is produced by Upstage Productions of St. Louis.

The elevator will take guests down to the mine beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person or $100 per couple. Reserved seating is available for tables of eight. All proceeds support the Kansas Underground Salt Museum and will be used to fund new exhibits and expand the Events Room.

For more information about the show or to purchase tickets, contact Lynnette Hilty at (620) 662-1184 or e-mail info@undergroundmuseum.org. Tickets will be on sale through Wednesday or until the show sells out.
