A community benefit of the Koerner Heights Church 50th Anniversary Celebration will be in Newton Saturday and Sunday.

All services are without charge, and the public is welcomed. Programs for which reservations are not necessary include:

Saturday at Koerner Heights Church:

10 a.m. — The Celebration of Our Roots including a pastor’s reception with eleven former pastors in attendance.

1:30 p.m. — The Celebration of Our Growth. Sharing, reminiscing, and reviewing the church’s history. A Koerner Heights Church history book has been compiled by experienced historian, Dr. Wilmer Harms.

7 p.m. — The Celebration of Praise: Favorite vocal and instrumental groups from Koerner’s 50-year history of ministering in music will perform and share their testimonies.

Sunday at Newton High School:

9:30 a.m. — The Celebration of Worship, including The Heights Worship Team, the reunion choir, and the Worship Message shared by guest pastors and current Pastor Tim Mace.

2:00 p.m. — The Celebration of Joy, an offering of drama and music featuring The Koerner Heights Adult Choir, Hearts 4 Him, Ventriloquist Greg Claassen, the drama team, The Heights Worship Band and others.
