HALSTEAD — A tornado touched down in Harvey County May 6, on the ground several minutes west of Halstead. The tornado crossed U.S. 50 before dissipating. Reported damage from the storm included the destruction of a shed on a farmstead three miles east of Burrton near 36th. A number of downed power poles were also reported following the storm.
