Editor, I’m writing in response to Mr. Wayne Lela’s letter of Feb. 19th, where he supports Brownback’s decision to rescind rights to Gays. He referenced Plato and the formers of our Constitution as evidence of the immorality of homosexuals. True, in The Law and in The Republic, Plato did condemn the practice as wasteful. But in The Symposium and Phaedrus he stated homoerotic love was related to education and gaining knowledge, hence it was superior to all other loves.
