Severe weather could be on the way — thekansan.com partner Accuweather predicts thunderstorms, some severe, tonight in the Newton area.Storms can bring downpours, large hail, damaging winds and possible tornadoes. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Winds are expected to be gusting from 20 to 40 miles per hour.Overall the forecast for Wednesday is mostly sunny skies with isolated thunderstorms. Highs are expected to 80 to 85.
