A card shower is requested for Roy and Arlene (Penner) Unruh of Peabody, who celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug 17.
They were united in marriage in 1950 at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. They have lived in Lehigh, Hillsboro and Peabody, where they owned and operated Peabody Sausage House for 27 years.
They have three children, Cynthia (Cyndi) Unruh of Springdale, Ark., Marilyn Unruh of Peabody and Duane Unruh of McPherson. They have two grandchildren, Travis Unruh and wife Alicia of Wichita, and Larissa Johnson and husband Dyllon of McPherson; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb and Carson Unruh, and Samantha (Sammy) and Taylor Johnson.
They will have a private family celebration.
Roy has been living at Legacy Park nursing home in Peabody since the first of this year, while Arlene continues to live at their home.
