Alan and Judy Mellott of Peabody celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family during Labor Day weekend in Branson, Mo.
Alan Mellott and Judy Whisler were married Oct. 11, 1959, at Peabody United Methodist Church in Peabody. Since that time, they have resided in Peabody.
Alan retired from Cargill in Newton in 2003, and Judy retired from Youthville in Newton in 2006.
Their children are Jeff (Dawn) Mellott of Andover; David (Kris Craig) of Andover, Mike (Nancy Hurst) of Houston, and Michelle (Tony) McConnell of Maryville, Tenn.
The couple has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
