Leroy Dyck and Vickie Chambers were married on July 13, 1969, at East Side United Methodist Church in Newton.
Leroy has worked for the city of Newton for 39 years. He was one of the founders of the Newton Ambulance Department, and served as captain, paramedic and firefighter through the years. He currently is the systems administrator for the Fire/EMS Department. Vickie has been a para-educator with USD 373 for 29 years, and her current position is at Newton High School. Through the years, she has served in many volunteer positions in the community. Leroy and Vickie also have been farming since 1978.Leroy and Vickie are the parents of three children and have three grandchildren. Stephanie and her husband, Brian Brown, live in Wichita and have two children, Rhett and Ryleigh. Jessica and her husband, David Evans, live in Topeka and have a son, Joshua. Emily Dyck is living at home and will be attending Fort Hays State University this fall.To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Leroy and Vickie enjoyed a train trip to St. Louis with their children and grandchildren.NEWTON —
