Wilbert and Betty Jo (Willis) Nachtigal of Halstead were married 50 years ago Aug. 29, 1959, at United Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg.
They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Fellowship Hall at the United Methodist Church in Halstead, given by their children and grandchildren.
Friends and families are invited.
Wilbert worked as a mechanic, retiring from Idaho Timber, and Betty Jo worked as a registered nurse, retiring from the Reno County Health Department in Hutchinson.
Their children are Annie and Todd Hanchett of Newton and their children, Dustin and Lindsie Mitchell of Wichita, Chloe Dyne, and Brandon and Miranda Hanchett of Newton; and Amy and Patrick Moore and their children, Hillary and Landon of Magnolia, Texas, and Dr. Jay and Amy Nachtigal and their children, Kate and Calleigh, of Leawood.
