Freddie and Jenny Lyon of Newton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner Saturday with family.
Freddie Lyon and Genevieve Boese were married Sept. 18, 1959. Since that time, they have resided in Newton.
Freddie and Jenny both work for Youthville in the Maintenance and Grounds Department.
Their daughter and son-in-law are Annette and Don Anderson of Lyons. The couple has one grandson, Scott Anderson, of Lyons.
Their hobbies are gardening and woodworking.
